Why it works

Why add your restaurant to a directory at all?

Google decides how much to trust a restaurant partly by how consistently it shows up across the web. A directory listing is one of the cheapest ways to add that signal — and this one is free.

A consistent local citation

Your name, address and phone published the same way they appear on Google — the consistency search engines look for when deciding which restaurants to surface.

A real backlink to your site

A followed link from a North Carolina community site — worth more to a local restaurant than a generic national listing nobody in your town reads.

Found by people already hungry

Diners browsing a local food directory are deciding where to eat tonight, not researching. That is a short trip from listing to table.

Nothing for you to maintain

No profile to build, no dashboard to learn, no password to lose. Text us a new photo or a menu change and we update the page for you.

The process

How to add your restaurant, step by step

One short form is the only thing we need from you. Everything after that is on us.

01

Send your details

Business name, where to reach you, and a link to your site or Google listing if you have one. Under two minutes.

02

We verify and write it

We check that you are a real, well-regarded North Carolina food business, then write your page — description, category, map and photo.

03

You confirm

We reach out by email or text so you can correct anything before it goes live. Nothing is published that you have not seen.

04

You go live

Your listing joins the directory, usually within about two business days, and your Welcome Kit lands in your inbox.

Questions

Restaurant directory questions, answered

How do I add my restaurant to the directory?

Fill out the short request form on our claim page with your restaurant's name, your contact details, and a link to your site or Google listing. We take it from there — writing, building and publishing the page for you. You will hear from us within about two business days.

Is the restaurant listing really free?

Yes. The free listing costs nothing, has no trial, and does not ask for a card. We fund the site through the optional premium feature, which adds gallery images, a video, a link-in-bio page and a written article. You can compare the two, but nothing about the free listing expires.

Do I need a website to be listed?

No. A website makes the listing more useful because we can link to it, but plenty of good restaurants run on a Facebook page and word of mouth. Send us whatever you have — a Google listing, an Instagram profile, or just your address and phone.

Does a directory listing actually help my restaurant show up on Google?

It helps, and it is not the whole answer. Search engines weigh how consistently a business appears across trusted sites, so a North Carolina listing carrying your exact name, address and phone adds a signal in your favour — particularly a local one rather than a national aggregator.

It will not outrank a well-run Google Business Profile on its own. Think of it as one supporting citation among several, and a page that sends real diners your way while it does its job.

What kinds of food businesses do you accept?

Restaurants, cafés, bakeries, coffee shops, delis, food trucks, caterers, dessert shops and specialty food makers — anywhere in North Carolina. We prioritise independent and locally owned businesses, and we review every request, so we may decline a listing we cannot verify.

Can I change my listing after it goes live?

Any time, and you do not need an account to do it. Text or email the change — new hours, a seasonal menu, a better photo — and we update the page for you. Updates are included free for as long as the listing is live.
