Add your gym, studio or dojo to the North Carolina directory.

Nobody drives across a county to work out. Fitness is decided almost entirely by what is close, what suits them, and who answers first — which makes being easy to find locally most of the marketing.

Why it works

Why gyms and studios live or die on local search

Membership is a proximity decision made in a burst of motivation that does not last long. If someone cannot find you in the ten minutes they spend looking, they join whoever they did find.

Convenience beats almost everything

People join the place near their house or on their commute. Turning up in local search for your own neighbourhood is the whole contest, and citations feed it.

Parents search for the child, not the gym

Kids martial arts and youth programmes are searched by a parent looking for a specific style and age group. Listing those explicitly reaches a household deciding on years of classes.

Motivation spikes are short

January, September, and the week after a bad photo. Being already listed means you catch those windows without buying ads into a crowded market.

Nothing to maintain

You are teaching classes, not updating profiles. Send the details once and we write, publish and update the page for you.

Questions

Gym and studio directory questions, answered

How do I add my gym or studio to the directory?

Fill out the short form on our claim page with your business name, what you teach, the age groups you take and a link to your schedule. We write and publish the page within about two business days.

Is the listing really free?

Yes — no trial, no card, no commission on memberships. Your listing links to your own schedule and sign-up rather than a platform taking a cut of every join.

Can you list our class schedule?

We link to your schedule rather than reproducing it. Timetables change weekly and a directory page showing last term's times sends people to a locked door.

Recurring things worth knowing — a beginners course on Tuesdays, a kids programme after school — go in the listing copy, where they stay true for longer.

We teach several martial arts styles. Should each be a listing?

One listing for the school, with the styles named in it. A parent searching for a specific style will find you through those terms, and a single strong page works better than several thin ones.

Can we mention a free trial class?

Yes, and it is usually the most clicked thing on a fitness listing. A trial removes the risk from the decision at exactly the moment someone is deciding, so if you offer one we will make it prominent.

I am an independent trainer without my own space. Can I be listed?

Yes. Say where you actually train clients — a gym you rent from, a park, or in their homes — and we will describe it that way rather than pinning an address that would confuse people.
