Had a filling come out this morning at about 11:30. Called LDA and they were able to get me in at 2:30. I was out by 3:30 and they were APOLOGIZING for how "long" it took because they were busy. They did a fantastic job and did so quickly, but with a friendly and kind attitude, not "all business." This was my first dental visit since living in Winston Salem, and I won't be going anywhere else. Highly recommended.
Gone are the Grumpy Dentists of my youth. (Everyone at LDA and previously Holder and Porter were ALWAYS smiling and made / make me feel welcome).5 Stars(🌟🌟🌟 🌟 🌟) (details below) I have been a customer/ patient of Lyndhurst Dental Assoc. since before it was Lyndhurst Dental Assoc. (1992, yes, that long). It is wonderful and a comfort that in all that time I have never felt like I was a just customer or a patient. I have always felt like I was visiting a place that knew me well and was happy to see me (kind of like when you go to your favourite restaurant or shop and you can tell the people who work there are glad to see you.). Like most people, a trip to the dentist's office is not something I look forward to doing twice a year. I like that I get gentle reminders about tooth care and not lectures. My previous dentists and orthodontist - prior to changing dentists in 1992 - all literally spent more time lecturing and scolding me about tooth care than actual time caring for my teeth. (And this was despite wearing braces for 6 years and brushing and using a Water pik! I did not have any cavities until I was in my 40's.) So, to say that LDA has been a good place for my family is not without comparison. Two more points. 1. My daughter is tactilly defensive (extremely touch / texture / smell / feel sensitive ) and all the staff make accommodations for her so she is able to tolerate having her teeth cleaned. 2. My last point is that the Doctors (Ayuso and Porter) and staff (I am sorry I can't remember all of their names) have all been calming, pleasant, engaging, and listen very well. To me, this shows that there is a good structure and bond between staff and doctors. IF, and I hope that it isn't an issue when you read this, COVID-19 is still a problem, LDA has excellent measures to not only clean and limit contact between customers but also staff. Thank you, LDA
From the beginning when they were taking extra precautions outside at the entrance until I was finished I had an extraordinarily nice experience going for my 1st check up as a new patient with this dental office. They have state-of-the-art equipment and most importantly besides the fact that they are all extremely excellent at their jobs they are also very friendly and helpful. Assistant Libby, Doctor Ayuso and Hygienist Rachel all helped to make the visit a topnotch experience. The lady at checkout too! Thanks for making sure everyone stays safe during this time so that we can Come to the dentist! I am so grateful my friend Kathy recommended them so highly! I will see you in 6 months ! Dr. Porter is the best dentist I’ve ever had. He’s very personable, knowledgeable and does great work. His team is terrific too. I moved from Winston-Salem to Raleigh a couple of years ago but still make the drive to W/S for dental appointments because of how much I trust Dr. Porter and his team. I highly recommend them.
Dr. Ayuso and Dr Porter are always so eager to help with any dental problems my family has and has never not fixed what comes up. After years of not being able to find a dental office that we like, we finally found a home here. The staff is always so friendly and easy to talk to. These guys and gals are second to none in our book!
