This review is way over due! Dr. Nelson is hands down the best dentist!!! I moved to Winston Salem, and was really worried about finding a dentist. I had dental implant sugery done in California, prior to moving to North Carolina. I wanted to find a dentist who I could trust. After some research, I found Dr. Nelson. He is the most kind, understanding, empathetic, and all around just an amazing dentist, and person. I've had a few complications with my temporary prostheses (no fault of Dr. Nelson) however, he has gone above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect, no matter how many times it has taken. He has always worked me in for an appointment, relatively quickly, when there has been an issue. The office staff, and dental assistants are also amazing and kind. They greet each person who comes through the door with a smile. They are very thorough with explaining treatment plans, insurance coverage, and payments. Thank you Dr. Nelson and staff! Very grateful for all of you!
Today, this patient with dental anxiety and in much need for a dental work plan entered the office of Dr. Blake Nelson. Upon entering I was greeted with professionalism and kindness. The dental assistant wanted very much to help me relax and reassured me each step of the way. Dr. Nelson's initial consultation with me was extremely positive. The practice offers up to date dental procedures. I left the dentist with a return visit appointment and no feeling of dread. Dr. Nelson is a very personable and knowledgeable dentist. Because I have a strong gag reflex it is difficult to take an x-ray the regular way. This Office has a way to do it with a high tech machine that circles around your jaw. My hygienist, Cherie who I have been seeing for over 20 years is very thorough. The office staff is very personable and competent. I highly recommend Dr. Nelson's office.
After retiring to the Winston-Salem area I have 'tried' four local dentists over the last ten years and thought I would have to return to the last I had been happy with in another state. Then I learned of Dr. Nelson and my life changed. I have found a dentist and staff truly first class. I highly recommend this practice to anyone who wants quality dental work, backed by assistance in scheduling, insurance filing, and personal as well as professional service. If they used a Cerec system rather that a dental lab I'd give five stars but that's only my opinion.
