Carmen was excellent setting up everything for my roof installation and giving me the guidance I needed. The crew did a great job with the roof. I was actually off-site for the entire process and it was easy to communicate. They sent pictures and made sure I was satisfied with the work. Everything was sent via electronic files which makes my record keeping so much easier. I chose the Owens Corning duration shingles and I’m super excited to have this product protecting my house; it looks great and is a quality product. I recommend Apal roofing.
After talking to countless other contractors who knocked on our door offering free roof inspections/estimates, we decided to take a chance on Apal, primarily because the professionalism and straightforwardness of company rep Mike stood out from the rest. From the initial inspection, to working through the insurance claim process (we learned we had hail damage and recalled shingles), to actual installation, Mike was helpful and available, answering any and all questions or concerns that we had. Incredibly, the crew arrived early in the morning and worked all day until dark, finishing the job in a single day. Never seen so many guys work so hard on a job site in such an organized and coordinated manner. Most importantly, the final product was outstanding, and the new roof looks great (and doesn't leak)! Highly recommend this company.
I honestly would have given them better if their spokesmen would have done better - by me that is! Wish I could recall his name but he was the worst - very rude and unprofessional! Things started out great with the initial receptionist was very prompt, helpful and attentive - so much so that she had someone out to my house to see about my problem that same day/evening. I was impressed! Then when this man from the company came (I really wish I could recall his name right now as HE was the source of the lower stars) things went downhill. He internally inspected my roof by going in my attic to view a potential source of the problem but because it was starting to rain, he left hurriedly yelling back that someone from his company would call/come out the next morning. Well morning came then the afternoon...I heard nothing. Only after calling him, did I get a return call (later that evening, AFTER his crew showed up) stating that someone would be to my house to look at the roof. Again the crew and the initial receptionist I spoke with - very professional. The "go between/liaison," not so much. The crew went on my roof and reported to both me and their liason what needed to be done. I needed a moment to check my coverages before proceeding and mentioned this to both. The crew was ok with coming back after their next little job to move forth that day and so appeared the liason until I called back within minutes later and was ignored. Once I got through, the liason told me it was too late and that he would have his crew come back within the week to fix the problem. Midweek came and crickets...I called to once again get a more definitive time as to when his company would come back out and was told "Good luck in finding another contractor" - as they had a "bigger project" they were working on now. 😳🤬 OBTW his crew previously mentioned how they could have patched me up in 30 minutes or so....SO do they treat all their potential customers that way?!?! I found their liason's response totally rude, tactless, disrespectful, and very unprofessional.
