I can highly recommend A-1 Renovation. They have just completed repairing my townhouse after it sustained significant water damage from a burst pipe. After having the damage mitigated, A-1 came in and repaired walls, replaced floors, painted, replaced cabinets, countertops and made my house livable again! A-1 was helpful throughout the process. Andre was great to respond to all of my questions and concerns. Brian was often on site, making sure that the job was being done correctly. They were so professional in their attitude and conversations with me. A-1 was up front about costs and communicated any issues as they arose. The fact that they were willing to “go to bat for me” with the insurance company was most impressive and appreciated! I don’t think anyone could go wrong with A-1!!
Initial review left September 2023 — I was told an initial estimate of 13-15K on my very small bathroom for a remodel. I still have the message in an email. He said, and I quote , “After looking over your project with your husband, our initial estimate would be between $13,000 and $15,000 for this work.”. I emailed back and said that that was around the price range we’re looking for. Three and a half weeks later when I finally got the actual estimate it was about 10K more, not including the tile, toilet, sink, fixtures, etc. and I didn’t get an itemized list. And from what I’m understanding after reading the estimate, it’s just a basic acrylic shower that they are proposing We wanted tile in the shower and my husband told him that. They listed an option for some travertine tile for $5,565 extra in place of the basic acrylic shower. Who said I wanted that!? I can get a 60 x 30 acrylic shower at Lowe’s for $470.00 for a basic shower like that. Why is your 60 x 30 shower so expensive? So I imagine the estimate would actually be well over $30,000 for tile in the shower and tile on the floor if I get to pick out my own tile at my store of choice. I only see a travertine option for the shower. And this bathroom is only around 5 feet by 8 feet. Good grief, you guys are price gouging for the hell of it. I also see things on there that I don’t need and I didn’t ask for such as “insulating the walls”. Those walls have never been insulated!!! It’s a bathroom in the middle of the house and it gets hot as it is!!! Don’t need insulation, and I didn’t ask for it. They DO push for unnecessary services. At least for me they did. I think different people get better rates than others. Furthermore , I can buy the materials cheaper. They don’t want to list the price because they price gouge you if you let them. I already found some contractors anyway who had no problem showing me an itemized list and had no problem with me buying the materials, so I can see where my money is going. Would not recommend 🤡 Update - May 6, 2024 — Brian Reeves emails me today, almost 9 months later about this. My husband and I decided to remodel it ourselves and we have saved so much in the process. Like I said, they price gouge!
Joey and A-1 Renovation did a fantastic job on our roof repair. They came and gave us an estimate quickly, did quality work and didn't overcharge us. We will definitely be recommending them to friends and family and calling them if we need more work done!
Andre and his team were awesome. Very professional, quality work and the communication was always there. Our home was damaged by a storm and A-1 restored our home inside an out. I would highly recommend A-1. 👍🏻
Would highly recommend, obviously. I had to have a very complicated repair to my home. Partial wall and and support beam replacement. From the initial estimate through the finished job everyone, exceeded my expectations. They answered all my questions all along the way. Now if you have read this far please keep going because the job was not only more than I expected in all ways it also came in below the estimate quoted. You can't ask for more.
