Buyer Beware. Do your Research. JD Byers is a Snake. He has a reputation of taking people's money and not handling their case. I gave hime the money he requested up front and in full. Ive made over 100 (not exaggerated) calls to his office the past 2 1/2 years. First the excuses were about the DA's lake of work ethic, than i got a traffic ticket and that was the excuse untill I resolved it. Then the excuses were about the DMV communications. When COVID finally happened he jumped on that for excuses. after 2 1/2 years the common denomenator is JD Byers, he is the problem. Everytime I was able to get him on the phone over the past few years he just makes up an excuse on the fly. NO ACTIONS. This man/serpent some how manages to sleep at night while he has unsuspecting clients going to bed worrying themselves to sleep. IF YOU NEED AN ATTORNEY, DO NOT COMPOUND YOUR PROBLEMS BY CALLING JD Byers. Theres a big chace he will take you money and do NOTHING. He does the easy work he gets but anything that requires a little effort he just ignores hoping it will go away. I have checked in to protest permits. Been in communication with the BAR Association, (the BAR is aware and looking into his B.S. by the way) Ive have planned a legal assault against him that I will unleash with vengeance when he has forgotten all about me I'll be there like a recurring cancer. Just want a update. Its now been almost 5 years since I initially paid him his asking price for my simple traffic matters. Je neber did the hearings and never refunded me any money. They use covid excuses for a year or two then they started using his health as excuses. Gave years of excuses for thousands of dollars. READ HIS REVEIWS BEFORE HE TOUCHES YOUR MONEY And I'd also like to update that it seems karma is taken care of him. So happy to hear about his failing health. Then again that's probably a lie too.
Excellent service from Mr. Beyers and his secretary's/ paralegal. He was patient and made sure I stayed calm. Highly recommended.
Lawyers are lawyers. Their jobs are to read people and manipulate minds. Mr Byers is as manipulative as they come. With that being said, he is in high demand. He is a state and federal attorney and is very busy. He did not give me his cellphone number even after paying 10 grand so I would suggest you schedule frequent meeting as he will not miss them. He is not God therefore cannot predetermine the outcome of your case. Do not expect to be able to afford a top notch manipulator for an honest paycheck. For a measly 10 grand my charges of 1st DEGREE ATTEMPTED MURDER were reduced and I received 3 years probation. Another 15 grand could have gotten them dismissed. I’m not saying the court appointed lawyers couldn’t have done the same but Mr. Byers did it with confidence and style.
The absolute best lawyer!! He worked miracles for a case my child’s father had!! His case was very difficult. No other attorneys wanted to touch his case. Mr. Byers came in and blew everyone away. I would hire him over and over again!!
JD was not responsive or helpful at all! This was my family's first time experience with conflict with the law and had looked to JD for guidance and help with my brother's case. We paid the upfront fee of $1,500 as requested by his office but he did not even show up for my brother bill bond hearing...in fact he did not show up at all for anything. He did not even bother to call reach out to my brother to inquire about the case. In the end, we had to figure out the court system ourselves, reach out to the detective ourselves and eventually gave up after many attempts to reach JD over a span of a couple of months and got a different lawyer. JD was a waste of money and time with added stress!
