Came here a few years ago with a dental emergency. They took great care of me then and have been since. Everyone is so nice and has treated me with utmost respect and kindness. I highly recommend Shelby Dental to anyone in need of care. They are the very best.
I absolutely love this dentist office! I am terrified of the dentist! I have four kids and one of my kids has sensory issues. Every experience we had with any pedatric dentist in Shelby has been horrible. I was very nervous to bring my daughter. From the moment we went into this dentist office my daughter did awesome. They were beyond patient and kind. She got her own room, her dental hygienist was so understanding. She let my daughter look at all the tools, walk around and explained everything! For the first time she laid down so they could clean her teeth. She is nine and has been working in occupational therapy about dentists visits. I was so happy I wanted to cry. I knew if my daughter could do it then so could I. I asked if I could schedule an appointment and coincidentally they had a cancellation for that afternoon. I was terrified of being judged. My kids always come first so I made sure I could cover the cost of their appointments first. This was the first time I had been to the dentist in years! Not once did they judge me. They assured me to not be embarrassed and they let know everything they were doing. After the visit we came up with a plan to fill cavities. Dr.Lackey is the most kind, compassionate doctor I’ve ever met. The morning I came in for some fillings I was crying and terrified. Her hygienist was reassuring me and never made me feel bad about how much work I needed done. By the time Dr.Lackey got into the room she was able to calm my nerves. I was so proud of myself and so thankful for Dr.Lackey. She truly changed my outlook on procedures and let me know I am brave and I can do anything I put my mind too. The lady who handles the appointments , maybe Krista? In the front office to the left. She has sat with me as long as it takes to schedule and reschedule and calculate$ appointments and has never ever judged me for having to split up appointments because of payments. She is precious! The lady at the front desk is so kind. Every person who works here is so kind and I wish I could remember their names but i definitely remember the way they made us feel. I can’t wait to go back! 100% recommend. It sounds dramatic but they changed our life’s!
Calling assuming that it would take at least 3 months to get an appointment for my disabled husband or myself. Especially being new patients. I was asked if I could bring husband that day at 4pm. Me babysitting my 4 week old great-grandson for the first time said yes thinking mom would be back before that time. When Mom wasn't back, I being discombobulated, packed both up, put them in car and headed to the office. After arriving, everyone was awesome in helping. They even went as far as watching the baby when they realized that they had an opening for me also. I couldn't have asked for a better team. As far as I'm concerned, there are no other dental offices. THANK YOU Shelby Dental Care Center for your warm caring hearts and professional services also. You get ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from my husband and I. I love the staff! The dentist and hygienist are excellent. Very thorough but quick in and out. The receptionist could be a little friendlier but i think she was just sleepy.
Thank you! It had been awhile since coming to the dentist. Mary was absolutely so precious, you are very lucky to have her. She made me comfortable. Dr. Allen is so very nice, does not intimidate you. Very upbeat and positive. All the while, doing a fantastic job!
