I love this practice from the moment I called, and it got even better when I walked through the door and was greeted with happy faces. Dr Tina and her staff are all amazing. I could not have asked for a better experience for my child. They explained everything step by step when it came to my child's dental needs. I fell in love with the ladies at check out, they made me feel like a part of their family. They went above and beyond working with me and my insurance. I Highly recommend this office for anyone looking for a pediatric dentist.
We love this pediatric dentist so much! We have had nothing but the most amazing experiences here so far! From the super kind front desk staff Mo and Lauren, to the sweet dental assistants Meg and Maggie, my girl has felt so safe and cared for each time she has been there! My little girl had to get some cavities filled and they explained everything to me as her mom with such kindness and love and made my “mom guilt” go away! I would recommend Dr Tina to anyone in town.
We attended toddler tooth time and had an incredible experience! The entire staff was so welcoming. They had a staff member dressed up as the tooth fairy to play with the toddlers in a fun environment while the parents were able to ask the dentist questions. The kids were able to practice brushing stuffed animals teeth. They did a quick, but thorough, exam of my daughter’s mouth. Overall, it was the best first dentist experience for my toddler!
I went here as a child and loved it! They had a full waiting room with a jungle play area for kids. That is now gone. I started taking my child here 6 months ago. I brought him in with insurance through delta dental. I called ahead to make sure it would be covered. The lady said she would get back to me...I waited and waited. I called a few times to follow up to make sure it was covered before taking off work to bring my child. I never heard back so I assumed all was fine. I get there and they tell me it won't be covered and it'll be $140 out of pocket cleaning paid in full by me. Luckily, Dr. Merhoff herself waived it. I was very appreciative of that. Well now my husband has a new insurance carrier with his new job (Cigna) and again, I called ahead to make sure it was covered and I was told twice that majority of it would more than likely be covered with our insurance. She said they had other parents who brought their kids there who are employed by the same company as my husband and there cleanings were covered. I get there again today, and of course, our insurance isn't going to cover it. I waited in the lobby for 15 minutes to find that out. The lady who told me this information also said she scheduled us for 10:30am while on the phone with her and I made sure to put that appointment time in my phone while speaking to her and at 10:10am I'm getting a call asking where we were and that we missed our 10am appointment. I am just highly disappointed with the staff up front, scheduling, and insurance verification. They have failed us TWICE now! Dr. Merhoff used to have the best staff and atmosphere for a pediatric dentist office but it is no longer such. We won't be back sadly.
Dr. Tina, Dr. Victoria, and her colleagues took a not great experience, and used their Tooth Fairy Magic to make certain my 4 year old will always have a warm and fuzzy feeling when he walks through the office door. Our family appreciates the kindness and support this Dental Practice provides for all children. As parents and adults we know going to the Dentist can be an overwhelming experience, but Dr. Tina, Dr. Victoria, Ms. Moe, and countless others make it a great experience for our littles.
