Moved up here from FL last year and found this office based off of the good reviews. First time coming here was mostly a positive experience outside of a new lady (seemed like she had very little training) pulling my head off the seat flossing my teeth... thought she was gonna yank a tooth out. I had to immediately stop her from trying to floss between my permanent retainer. Second time and last time coming here was a terrible experience. The dental assistant was brutalizing my gums - sure I could brush better, but holy smokes, I've been to a number of dentists over the years and this was easily my top 2 most painful experiences. I told her that was painful verbatim and she just kind of chuckled. I guess my wincing and uncomfortable facial expressions brought her joy? After my mouth got raked over coals I waited for the dentist to come check me out so I could get out of there and get back to work. Well, I did exactly that: wait. The dentist never came and so after 20 minutes I had to finally leave. Honestly, I would not recommend this place to anyone and have actively told several people already to avoid this office. Without a doubt, easily my worst dental experience in recent memory. Do not come here.
As always, a great experience! Dr. Porter does a great job & makes sure I am comfortable & not in pain as he does my dental work. Libby is fabulous, as well. She is very gentle & makes sure I know what is being done. I have also seen Dr. Ayuso & Dr. Bost (LOVE him!) & I have always had a pleasant experience. I highly recommend this practice. 😊
I was a nervous wreck when I got to the office and dreaded having the work done. With kind voices and much encouragement from the dr and her assistant I made it through. Happy camper !❤️
I came here for a second opinion after being told by another practice that I needed multiple fillings at my initial visit. I have never had any problems with my teeth so this was shocking to me. At Lyndhurst Dental, Dr. Porter and assistant, Tori were very helpful and kind, answered all of my questions, and reassured me that my teeth didn't need any fillings. I felt very confident with their care and evaluation. Dr. Porter also took extra time to answer other questions I had and gave me recommendations, for which I was very grateful. I will be continuing care with them from here on and recommending their office to others!
DONT even MENTION Medicaid or you're banned! We called to make an appointment for a cleaning. My partner is on Medicaid. They do not take Medicaid, fine, not a problem. I am an existing patient, do not have insurance and pay out of pocket without any problems. I use CareCredit Mastercard that can process just like any other credit card, regardless if they participate in the CareCredit program or not. We would have done the same with my partner, making Medicaid a nonfactor. They have made an internal "rule" to not accept anyone that receives Medicaid, EVEN IF paying out of pocket. This is blatant #discrimination. We have filed discrimination complaints with the state and the Dental Board. I wont be returning.
