Waitstaff were great! There's only one toilet in their filthy restroom which is totally inadequate for the number of customers. I heard the women's room has 2 toilets, but the exhaust fan sounded like a jet engine. The food was good and over-priced. There was a sports bar vibe with many TVs. At the end of the day, the quality of the experience here simply doesn't justify the price.
It is such a shame. This restaurant used to be fantastic. My wife and I dined here last night to celebrate her birthday and it was a terrible experience. The hostesses were not friendly at all when we walked in the door, they just told us our table was not ready and did not give any direction on how to fill the idle time. The servers were inattentive, the restaurant was louder than a sports bar, and the food was severely lacking in flavor. The table of two next to us was incredibly loud, cursing up a storm, and saying things that can only be described as something out of Fifty Shades of Grey. The servers were even hovering over to their table to entertain their graphic conversations. The Risotto was clumpy and had the consistency of chunky oatmeal, the "crispy brussels sprouts" were served in a bowl filled with a watery sauce-- more like a stew. They were also not fresh at all. The side salad served with my steak was swimming in dressing and the lettuce did not seem fresh at all. On top of all of this, the bathrooms were disgusting. The door latches are about broken, the floor is covered in urine, and the paper towels are just laid out behind the sink. Not what you would expect for a $200 dinner. I was so excited to take my wife here, but it was pure disappointment. You are better off going to Outback or Chilis, which would also be about half the price.
I had to make reservations two weeks out so my anticipation was at a fever pitch by the time dinner rolled around. I’d looked at the menu daily the week leading up to the reservation. Inside decor was appropriate, well styled but not stuffy in any way. Staff attire and meal presentation was very high caliber though the dress code based on many patrons was casual to business casual. I expected to see more chinos and sport coats based on price of the restaurant and that was not the case. We were well taken care of with two assigned servers that worked well in concert to never smother us but always be close by if anything was needed. They spaced our courses out perfectly so that there was little dead time between apps-salads/soup- and entrees. We started with meatballs and smoked bacon appetizers. There were about 3 other apps I wanted to try as well. The meatballs were good but still a regular meatball. The bacon was so smokey and had a delicious bbq style sauce it was served with. It is a must try. The herb spread and crostini with each app was a nice touch as well as rolls with herbed olive oil for dipping. I had the lobster bisque instead of salad with my fiancé having the Fratelli’s salad. She loved the diced apple in the salad. Lastly we opted for the bourbon ribeye and bone-in cowboy ribeye as entrees. One with mashed potatoes and the other with onion and parmesan hash browns. Impeccable cuts of meat that were both cooked to perfection. The price difference for the cowboy ribeye vs traditional rib eye was significant but for my first trip to Fratelli’s, I was not holding back in any regard. Will likely go standard ribeye on my next visit.
Always an experience!!! This Valentine's Day, no different, even on a busy day everything was exceptional! Meredith and Dawn made our evening perfect!
Home made specialities are worth trying, as the food is nice and the choice is good. Dishes are big enough. Starters were tasty, and we tried a variety of them. There is plenty of space inside, however it did look like a reservation is recommended.
